5 WAYS TO MOTIVATE YOURSELF

Sometimes it can be hard to find the zeal to do certain things. I personally have gone weeks being seriously unmotivated to do anything. The simplest task could be very challenging and you just don't get it, but don't worry, I have five easy steps to get your groove back.



1. Make a to-do list: this should make things look more achievable and ticking things off the list should give you a sense of achievement which will make you want to do more things.



2. Have a reward system: it gives you something to look forward to at the end of the day and that makes you more eager to complete your tasks


3. Take a break to get some rest and charge your mind: taking breaks sometimes can be underrated and some of us tend to use our breaks to "get a little more work done" or to "sort some things out" when we should be in fact resting, so we can feel refreshed when the break's over. Stop wasting your break doing things other than taking a break and you'll notice the difference in how you feel.


4. Reflect on the times when you worked hard and succeeded at your task: reminiscing on the feeling of achievement you got when you completed your last task can sometimes be the only thing that does the trick and gets you back on your feet.


5. Remind yourself that It's better to try and fail or succeed than living with regrets: trust me, you don't want the "what-ifs" in your head to stop you from trying because you'll eventually look back and wish you had actually tried doing it instead of just not.
